Cossie Care
Cossie Care is our Club’s new volunteer-run support initiative, built around the idea that being part of a Club means looking out for one another. Whether a member is unwell, recovering from surgery, in hospital or experiencing the loss of a loved one, Cossie Care is here to help make the tough times a little easier.
Lending a hand, making a difference
The programme provides short-term, practical support to members who may not have local support to rely on, helping them get back on their feet with a little extra help along the way. It’s a simple idea – members helping members – with every bit of support offered with dignity, respect and confidentiality.
- Hospital assistance (where appropriate)
- Cooked meals
- Transport to medical appointments or the Club
- Assistance with shopping or collecting prescriptions
- Light home help
- Regular check-in phone calls or visits
- Bereavement support and assistance
- Connecting members with other community support services if needed
